Happy New Year!

What a busy month! December brought many custom orders and handmade gifts to finish up, and very enjoyable visits with family and friends here and out of state...and a foot of snow in between!

We met our son Kipp, daughter-in-law Rebecca and our youngest grandbaby, Everett, on December 23rd for lunch.

Then Christmas morning we got a big surprise. Our local newspaper said we would get about an inch and a half of snow. They were a little off. It started snowing at 8 a.m. and didn't stop all day. We measured about 12" in our yard. Needless to say, we didn't get to church and our daughter-in-law Wendy's family dinner got postponed.

In North Carolina we don't have road cleaning equipment to contend with a foot of snow! Some of it gets cleared off and some of it just has to melt. By Tuesday the roads were somewhat clear and we were able to go to the family get-together which was great fun. We saw son Scott, daughter-in-law Wendy, grandson Ty (10).....

and granddaughters Meg (almost 9) and Paige (6).

Then on December 30th, we headed up to Ohio for a few days to visit son Jeff, daughter-in-law Heather and grandkids Calvin (12), Stewart (13) and Jocie (9). We had a great weekend eating good food, watching videos, shopping, making polymer clay creations, and playing a fun game called Apples to Apples. We also had a wonderful visit with some friends who used to live here.

Wishing everyone many blessings in 2011.  ♥

I like the way you all passed around the baby for photos...that's what seems to happen around here too with the babies in our family. The smallest one (my great-neice) this Christmas had on the same dress my oldest daughter wore on her first Christmas (20 years ago!)
Your snow photos are beautiful, I think everyone got some surprise snow for Christmas, everything looked so clean and bright.

Smile today. :)
